agree. Apparently I had a trade stand..... They never even spoke to me about it until after it was published, and i had no intention of doing it.
Would have been an ok show if it was £10 to get in, however £20 took the piss, thats the same as a weekend ticket at pod/shakespeare. Think i'd...
rear springs can be funny with adjustable platforms. sometimes the end of the spring can catch and ping if it's sat in a certain way. just try rotating the spring 180 degrees
I like mintex 1155's. driven and been in a number of mk1's on track that run them with very happy owners. will be well worthwhile for you to change the fluid too. I put ATE racing blue in the MG ZS we took to the ring last week, and it makes a difference.
your car uses the same setup as a williams (if it uses the calipers i think it does) so anything listed for that will be good. I have the above pads in my mk1 for road use, but I've made them fade on the road, let alone on track.
just needs to be looked at thoroughly then. could be a worn pump not liking the extra load that full lock puts on it, might be early sign of failure, but it's all guesswork without looking
I see a lot of mk1's, I did the cambelt on "the imperial" recently. Bit of a blast from the past, was the first clio I ever worked on about 11 years ago
newer engines use plastic pulleys which are prone to cracking. They, along with aux belts that like to shred, are the bigger issue. Yes there's a built in safety margin in the 5 year rule. Some new cars will have sat for 2 years before being registered. Some cars are running a 100k/10 year...
pressure switch is there to tell the ECU when the PAS is applying extra load to the engine and help with anti stall at low revs.
Possible you have a belt tension issue (seized tensioner?) or maybe just low fluid level
had a 172 in today with a rough idle. I'd changed the lambda around 2 months ago, and economy had improved, but the lumpy idle had got worse gradually. So, first port of call was the sparkplugs......sigh Bosch, fitted by a "specialist".....oh and they were loose. New NGKs fitted, better but not...
I did a williams 1 a couple of months ago that was on original belts and 60k on the clock. One owner from new, so it's not like it was lost paperwork or anything. thats 16 years old !!!
i had 4 different part worns on a 300bhp 200sx once. was surprisingly nimble, LOL. I wouldn't panic about it personally, it's nice to have matched axle pairs, but it's not dangerous not to.
