not my place to say really, and i dont want to claim things that people might not see due to different driving styles, but significantly better than the numbers stated above
Aux belt should have been replaced again at the time the cambelt was done so the earlier aux belt change is insignificant. No idea what will have caused it without actually seeing the car, but i have seen it happen before. Likely the tensioner is seized so the belt became slack and wandered...
right about the different garages doing different quality jobs, but they still use substandard materials. I worked for them for a short period (Top Gear) and walked out as the whole thing was a joke. EVERY afternoon is assigned for warranty work FFS
only know of 2 that have had cams fitted, both are running Catcams. We're hoping to try some Colombo & Bariani cams in a 197/200 soon, but need to get the mk2 variant available first
oil pressure operates it, spring closes it when oil pressure is blocked by solenoid. spring goes sloppy, pulley rattles. be fine until you get the belt done
not exactly what i said, just been informed by customers that their engine is quieter after i've washed out the VVT pulley properly...
145-150 ish. Depends on the dyno though, single roller give a higher wheel figure but measure lower losses, twin roller have more drag so give a lower wheels figure but more measured losses
could well be worn discs, but there's a couple of bushes on those IIRC that can cause some braking wobble. Can't remember if the clutch is adjustable on those or not
