dont need adjustable pulleys to dial in cams, even keeping the dephaser. Catcams make a tool for it, think sodemo do too. It's basically an adjustable locking tool
very good cams. They do work best when used with standalone, but can be made to idle higher than normal on stock setup to some effect (bit of a bodge around IMO).
mintex are actually pretty good. They do a whole range from completely standard right up to race stuff. depends what you have.
Dont think i'd use either of the ones you've suggested above though. Ferodo DS performance are in your price range IIRC, I have them in my mk1 and they're decent
not unusual for pads for these cars to be made too big for the caliper. or with too much coating, so they sit too tight and dont slide properly. Ferodo's are the worst for it. If you've cleaned them up then they should be ok i guess. I'd definitely give bleeding the fluid a go first
when you say they're poo, what do you mean? quite possible they're just fitted in the caliper wrong (common) and sticking. probably also a good idea to bleed/flush the fluid for fresh stuff, makes a LOT of difference
sure you can appreciate that if we put out there, all the work that Tom and James have done on this, that people will find somewhere to buy the parts for 50p less and JMS will make nothing from it. It's not worthwhile for JMS to continue as this point I'm afraid :(
there's normally a bit of sound deadening next to the aux belt as standard. It often rubs on the belt/pulleys. I dont re-fit it because i dont trust bits of trim rubbing on belts. Same thing may have happened with yours
i've seen the PAS pump seal fail pretty spectacularly on a couple of pumps in the last few months. throws all the oil out and then whines like hell. New pump needed is the most likely scenario
could well be the inner track rod ends (attached to the steering rack). They're a fairly common thing to see worn on a clio, and they cause vagueness of the steering.
Oversteer is most likely something to do with rear shocks
