Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
must be right then FPMSL. f**king awesome installation, dont get me wrong, it looks amazing. but WTF, that's the kind of AFR you'd expect with 2 bar of boost on a 500bhp turbo, and it's at near enough 11:1 from 4.5k hahahahahahahahahahaha
not quite. It's when it comes off lean running. It's run lean fairly high up the revs for emissions, so there's a torque "hit" when it gets the fuel it actually wants
it's not pisch, it's fact. Removed an ITG panel and fitted a piper and gained 5bhp. ITG panels are restrictive, I've always thought it, now i've seen it proven.
You can, and you can make it strong. The trick is to slow down the cooling to prevent crack propogation due to shrinkage. You need to get the cast iron red hot with a gas torch before you even put the welder near it, then keep using the gas torch to slow down the cooling of the weld.
Be better...
Trophys are so massivly over-rated. They're not s**t, they're actually pretty good, but they're not better by the margin that the price tag and the attached ego suggests.
I've driven something like 10 different ones, a couple of which I've pushed fairly hard, on the owners instruction.
It's...
you should fit the seals AFTER the rocker cover anyway, so you'll just need a new pair of seals and fit them carefully. DON'T push them too far in, flush with the head casting is spot on
did you notice that the cam pulley seals are different on each cam? The inlet cam seal actually seals on the de-phaser and not the cam. If you fit the wrong seal on the inlet cam it will squash when the de-phaser pulley goes on, seen garages do that before and it PISSES out oil
I've spent some silly money on modding cars over the years, but I can't believe the speed people seem to do things!!!! Part of the enjoyment for me is making the most of each new thing, that way you dont get bored anything like as easily and it makes what you've spent in total a lot more worth...
