Once it's fitted, it's locked to the car. The ECU will need virginising again then re-flashing from scratch. 182 ECU may also be wrong for your car. Get your original ECU flashed/remapped if you want it done. And get your money back
sounds like the aux belt idler could be failing. Avoid running the engine as if the aux belt goes it could take out the cambelt (unlikely as it may sound)
get all the bumper and slam panel off and have a good look at the tensioner and idler.

non starting due to ECU fault.....erm dont think so, there's a clue in the entire water system being bone dry. "it never boiled over" no s**t, it needs water in it to boil
