did you loosen the head-bolts in order, or just one end to the other? That could make the head warp. I'd be surprised if it's something from doing the job previously though, a year is a fair amount of time. get the head pressure tested for cracks
Not worth it for the hastle IMO. Probably make a tiny difference to temps so they "work", but they dont fit. Gaskets pictured were supplied and fitted so they're not a DIY effort
heard of it a lot less, think the newer boxes are better, until they finally used a bolted retention method for the diff (182). sadly the 182 box doesn't have a speedo drive so it's a PITA to fit to older models
inherant problem IMO, dont think it's preventable. dan.wil had his pop on the line at santapod last weekend, Cliowizard had his go on the way home too IIRC
WANT!
best looking new car in years, first time I can remember loving a car from the day i first saw one, normally takes me a few years to accept them LOL
they're all near enough identical (some very minor changes that aren't worth worrying about) from a 5gtt all the way through valvers, williams, 172, 182, 225 etc. Be fine :)
They were gaskets already fitted to cars and they just dont fit. I've modded them whenever i've seen them. They dont even match a standard gasket, they certainly dont fit a "matched" inlet
the piper 172 system is louder than the 182 one by some margin. They're excellent quality Systems but not so well known on clios, so they're vastly overlooked. I'll be getting one when i manage to find a ph1
yup, that looks like the same thing. Welseal is made by STAG.
