it's fine when fitted right. Only know of one problem with one
  2. S

    happy then? :D
  3. S

    request: ITB engine bays

only difference we've seen is torque
  4. S

    request: ITB engine bays

torque is notably less with shorter trumpets. We are runnign 120mm on the demo car. Had to mod the rad position for that though

maximum of 60mm to keep the slam panel yes, has been for a long time :)
  6. S

    request: ITB engine bays

fine if it's not jetwashed. Standard ECU position afterall
  7. S

    request: ITB engine bays

can run with shorter trumpets if really needed, but you lose significant torque

    throttle bodies.

205s use ultra crude ignition (not ECU controlled at all) and the fueling isn't good either, so carbs aren't really a backwards step. Throttle bodies are just a modern take on the theme

    throttle bodies.

yeah it's the GDI kit :) Never tried bike carbs, not really our thing :) Might be putting Omex ignition management on a williams with carbs soon though

yes perfectly. slam pannel is a flimsy piece of steel. There's a solid cross member behind the bumper
  13. S

    throttle bodies.

    no different pipe needed :)
  14. S

    throttle bodies.

    can with our kit :)

Demo car - Pre loom update

Which is the best drive, 182 or 172

Driven every variation I think. For me I'd go for a straight 172 and put the best suspension possible on it. Cup handles a little better but not enough to be losing the nice interior IMO (not a fan of the cloth seats). Prefer the Ph1 overall apart from the dash

    What Injector??

440s normally with turbos, 330s on high output NA
  19. S

    what cams?

    boost junkie ;)
  20. S

    what cams?

good innit ;) cheers mate :)

    cv boot

should be about half that (plus a bit) for a new shaft fitted really
  22. S

    what cams?

Andy I think. I'm off for 2 days, 30 tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
  23. S

Fitting the cams; problem with bolt on top/end of cam

the stud in the exhaust cam is help in with threadlock. a little heat and it will wind out fairly easily. New studs are available from renault. No cams come with the stud that i know of
  24. S

    what cams?

i'd say your losses on the previos dyno (the figures you posted earlier) were excessive, more like 163 at the fly rather than 173
  25. S

    Verneir pulleys

with standard cams? wouldn't bother personally unless you're planning on fiting a turbo :)
  26. S

AST spring rates, what you got ?

orgasm inducing setup that was. Adeys setup is great but a bit stiff for a daily IMO, uncomfortable on the motorway. We're having the same though as it's for mostly track use :)
  27. S

    what cams?

I'll be using re-grinds in my Mi16, will be either Piper or Autosprint, not decided yet
  28. S

    what cams?

    of course you are
  29. S

    what cams?

    lol, are you serious????
  30. S

    what cams?

yeah they rattle lots on the F4R. Extra lift is achieved by removing material from the base circle. We'd use them if people wanted but no-one is happy with the rattling.
