you wont be able to get to the cambelt without removing covers. Just go somewhere you trust, or where you can wait around while they do it

well the Omex prepped westfield with 2l duratec makes 1.5 bar at 2k rpm so there's not much off boost to worry about

    200+break

lots of bits. head, pistons, I suspect cams (though I've not clocked them up) inlet and exhaust manifolds, and sequential ignition are all different. 197 runs constantly variable inlet cam timing, where 172/182 runs a straight switched phase shifter. In short, it's more than is practical to just...

    Help replacing wishbones

if it's really stuck (and i've had to do this on a few balljoints) take the driveshaft out and use a drift and a hammer from aboveto punch the balljoint out of the hub. We use an air-chisel but a hammer will work almost as well

Hi new here, a small issuse with fly by wire on 182

We (GDI/Omex) have a fully developed cable throttle conversion which uses the ph1 172 throttle body and an omex 600 ECU. Fully CNC'd bracketry and all sensors are included :)

Engine Oil Light & Stop Light *FRED*

Engine Oil Light & Stop Light *FRED*

I think you need a new oil pump pretty sharpish, but you it's worth trying a new oil filter first. Sometimes non genuine oil filters dont have the correct non-return valving in them so they dont hold oil when the engine isn't running. This means oil pressure (measured post filter normally) can...

what engine and box to upgrade to

there's always the F7R/F7P (williams/valver) option of course. That'd be pretty cool :D
  27. S

what engine and box to upgrade to

a 2.0l from a 172 would be the easy option for the best power gains and least work. (some will say use an audi/vw 1.8t but there's a lot of fabrication to do) Think I'd be tempted to use a 1.6 16v (k4m) for cheapness of buying the engine and spend what you've saved over a 2.0 on tuning it
