Doesn't it just! Lol! The induction noise sounds a bit itb-ish as well.
It'll not be staying in the engine bay mate! Flol! Having seen it in action today, I'm very impressed with it. You can choose to have it illuminated Amber as well to suit the standard dash illumination.
And here's the final 2 videos:
A bit of induction noise at idle:
And a bit of a tickle:
Safe to say, it revs like a f**king bike, although it's not picked up so well in the video. Trust me though, it's extremely responsive!
Enjoy!
More to come!!
Ok so had another bit of a play with the cup today. It was time to check the oil pressure and sensors etc. Also had a good chance to check for any leaks - of which there were none! Happy days.
So the good news is I've got a nice 111psi of cold oil pressure! Lol! That's with the oil at 8...
How did you miss it?! Flol!!
There's a lot of stuff I want to check before it goes anywhere for mapping so that won't be happening for a bit. Stuff like oil pressure, sensors getting the correct readings etc all need to be thoroughly checked over. It's got to be right mate.
Thanks for taking the time to read it all mate! No point rushing as it just means redoing things you're not happy with at a later date, or missing stuff/making mistakes.
I'll reply later to the pm mate! Thanks for that.
Lol! Well if it can do 8:31 on kw's, standard power and no diff, it's got to at least redeem itself this time around as it's got asts, more power and a diff! I know I'm capable so the car needs to keep its side of the deal!!
I thought that was some sort of strange finish that you'd opted for on your calipers mate, didn't realise until now that it's heat related!!! Deffo sticky pistons mate.
Ha ha! There's a lot of pages now mate, so it's easy to miss/forget stuff! That's the theory yeah. All it's got to do is get me to the 'Ring and set a good laptime (8:31 in tf to beat). If it doesn't it'll be split for parts.
My Astra engine was a forged low comp build with a solid lifter top...
Yeah it definitely caught the attention of a few Ferrari/Porsche drivers! Out dragging them was pure comedy. The 174 was on the limiter as well in 5th gear. Flol
It is forged mate. My compression ratio is 12.?:1. No one needs to know the exact spec on that.
Maximum power should be done...
Well @BIGASH is reckoning it'll also do a solid 220+ and I think he said it'll be 22# something. In theory, it should do the 230 that gets quoted, but I don't think it will get there personally. Be nice if it did, but I'm sceptical. Anything over 200 and I'll be happy as that's all I originally...
Thanks mate! If it performs as well as it sounds, it'll be the b****cks! Lol! I don't do standard. Ask @not normal dan! Lol
No mate the original engine was just a stop gap with Grp n cam timing. This one definitely doesn't need that. Lol
Standard! Lol! She's a bit lumpy, although I doubt it would run on a standard cup map. That's a Grp n cam timing cal file that's currently on the ecu.
Cheers mate!
Yes. Yes you do.
Small update!
Made this for the oil pressure/temperature gauge. Not fully sold on it atm tbh so not sure if I'll bother with it in that position. I'll look better when the cars outside.
Oh and this happened.
That my friends is how it's done. Don't be going getting carried away though now...
Personally I'd say no, but I have nothing to compare it with. What speed are you hauling off? And which circuit? That'll help to give an idea of if that temperature is normal or not.
To keep things simple you may be better off swapping out the ph2 loom and fitting the ph1 engine loom tbh. You need to check the wiring connections that go into the interior loom (n/s inner wing fuse box) are the same across the 2 looms though to be certain it's a compatible swap. Some of the...
I got all the stuff for my brembos from R-sport. Genuine brembo parts as well. For your oe calipers any old s**t will do, but imo, for brembos you want genuine.
It's strange that they've seized though as they have stainless steel pistons.
