Ah my bad mate, I misread your first post and read it as spring rates not damper rates! Give bilstein UK a call. They'll give you all the info your likely to need I imagine.
Exactly! Lol! They're not actually that bad inside mate. There's 3 main gears, 1 splitter gear and then the range change that's on the back of the box. Combined together you get a 12spd gearbox.
Not sure when it'll be running tbh. I've got the loom to make next. That'll be a raychem...
Yeah they're not the best, but I've done worse. If you've got all the bits there in front of you and ready to go I'd say about 3-4hrs work. Just to put it into perspective though, I can remove, strip, repair, rebuild and refit a truck box in 9hrs. Lol
Well the shims have arrived for the dairy milk, sorry, jc5 so it was time to make a start.
I started off by checking the preload on the input shaft using one of the old shims as a guide. This is very much a job done by feel. The Renault way is to use a dti gauge to measure the lift without a...
I think a lot of it comes down to the higher costs involved for hiring out all the well known circuits tbh mate, so they want to get their money's worth out the job.
Every time I did Donington with them it was the same. Constant red flags for w*****s that have big ambition and f**k all talent...
This is the standard setting for geo I recommend for fast road:
Camber F: 2 degrees -
Camber R: standard (anything from 0.5 to 1.5 degree - )
Toe F: 10 minutes toe out
Toe R: either leave standard or adjust with shims to around 5 minutes toe in.
You need to get the engine up to operating temperature and take the oil pressure reading from the engine at idling speed.
You'll find its anywhere between 20psi and 14psi. Set the alarm to 15-10psi. I think the original oil pressure warning switch sets the light on at 12psi, but I can't be 100%.
Yeah too right! @Cub. is getting a set from j-tech as they're an authorised dealer. No hassle either.
They're an epic bit of kit mate - I love mine so don't be put off thinking that you only have 1 option.
I got mine just before one Christmas and it took over 4 months to get the outstanding items I needed............ Honestly mate, it's such a shame he's a total bellend to deal with as he seriously let's the product down. For as long as my arsehole points to the floor I'll NEVER deal with him again.
