I use a 175amp mega fuse on mine. Do a search for mega fuses and holders, that should bring something up. I use 35mm2 cable. We use it at work for power supply over 7mtrs and the loss of amps/volts is very minimal. It's also very expensive so I'm glad I "borrowed" it!!

That's the one! Excellent bit of kit. You can strip them down in the event of engine failure and clean them out as well. It adds maybe 5-8 oC to the coolant temperature at the very most.

I use a laminova oil cooler to cool the gearbox oil on my other car. It fits in the cooling system and oil passes through it. It works very very well and they're nice and compact. Downside is they ain't cheap. I will be using one to cool the oil on my track car eventually. I'll get some pictures...

There are a few out there but its just so much work to get it to fit that not many would bother with it. Easier to fit the 197 inlet and head on to the 172 block then turbo it tbh! Or you could always use the 197 pistons in the block to get the compression ratio back up.....................but...

What flow bench do you use mate? Also whereabouts are you based? I'd be interested in bringing the modified head of mine along with inlet to be tested if your not far away.

Yes mate a lot of headwork has been carried out. There's a lot of work involved just in getting the ports to match up. It looks like it should offer a decent performance increase if combined with cams and raised compression though.

Nice work with the flow bench testing!! I'll be having my head with the 197 inlet flow bench tested soon so it will be nice to have the graphs you posted as a comparison.

Very! I've got one on my road going cup and it's recessed into the bumper. Build quality and fit is excellent and they used flanges to join the centre section to the back box which I prefer to the slide over joins. Not very noisy on a long journey and at 70-80 on the motorway you hardly notice it.

I've got a prospeed recessed system on my road car and a btb stealth on the track car. Prospeed system is excellent and not to noisy. I'd get the alignment checked if I were you mate. I would almost say 100% that the tracking is out. Half a millimetre here and there will make all the difference, and inevitably put things out of tolerance. If you've fitted lowering springs the tracking will almost certainly be out.

The rear toe will need adjusting even if the car is lowered tbh. The rear beam is designed to work at the ride height specified by the Renault engineers so with lowering the car plus increasing the camber will increase the variation by a greater amount. I adjusted my rear tracking to get it back...

He's probably looking at using the 6 speed so he can get a dog engagement gear kit to fit inside the original 197 casing. Assuming they're available, which i'm 99.9% sure they are. The 6 speed box does fit but you need to change the sump as stated.

^^^ Agree on how flimsy the original seat mountings are. I used a seat rail kit and removed the original mounts. Once welded in i'd say they're definitely stronger than original. I would imagine that the originals are designed to dissipate the energy in a side impact?

Got to agree on the pole positions tbh! I drive to the Nurburgring from the midlands in mine and they are very comfy! They hold you in really well too.
