Being standard I can go anywhere, any hill, any speedbump, any car park and I have no banging, rubbing, cracked splitters etc!

Do it, if you like it and have £600 ish to put to then why not - take the money and bob half of it down (£300) and say what do you think peeps? ;)
At the end of the day they'll want a few quid over doing a straight swap or its not worth their time - what car are you trading in spec/condition...
