Got the head off today and it’s all abit rusty inside! And evidence of k seal too. Should all be okay once I’m done with it.

Cheers for the reply! I had to do the compression test stone cold so they may have come up a bit at operating temp. It’s certainly goes well this engine.
Reckon I’ll change the gasket, is there any scope for refacing the head?
My 182 has a strange issue and I can’t seem to pinpoint what the cause of it is. Ever since I’ve owned it it’s always used abit of coolant but nothing excessive.

Finally have some progress!!
Picked the Clio up yesterday from having the cage fitted, it's the older RO17 safety devices full cage. Perfect for my needs!
Also while there it was there I had some harness mounts welded in and flush aero catches fitted!

Seen them as low as £13k and as high as £25-30k. I'd be checking for crash history, any major repairs etc make sure the parts are R-sport stamped and history of gearbox overhauls as they are expensive to have done.
I'm worried I've got the wrong ones in mine now as I just bought some power flex ones. Think I'll swap them out for eibach ones before I venture onto track.

Standard with cooksport springs. Basically I race an MG ZR in MG Trophy and our control tyre is the Dunlop so I've got a good supply of used but no way near worn out tyres in that size.
Just want a little weekday track day fun with the Clio and if they fit that'll be good, if not I'll look into...
Do these tyres fit and clear suspension on the 16's?
I know it would be better to run 15's on track but I have a good surplus supply of these in 16 inch fitment.

Used to be a member 3 years when I had a 172 Cup, done lots of things since but I'm now back and the proud owner of a FF 182 in titanium silver bought off rickwood on here. Loving being back in a Clio again!

Also to add I'm testing a Gen 3 Clio cup car next weekend in view to doing the Clio Cup series in 2015 so I will add pics of the day. As I've been racing an MG for the last 2 years which was the reason I had to sell my 172's :(
