I know there are a few threads kicking about with stuff on the rs tuner but none have a fix to my problem. I have unlocked my rs tuner connected it to the ecu entered the VIN code etc. Now when I go to read ECU it comes up saying could not obtain security access to ECU make sure the engine is...
From pics I can remember seeing folk have used a samco bend and no CAF's as where the holes are on the airbox face right into the rear of the headlight which is said to be the place with minimal heat soak.

Anybody heard of/used this mob before for matched inlets? Looks like a good job from the pics in the add.
I've had the exact same thing come up on my rs tuner same syptoms too. I've ordered a new lambda hopefully get it fitted this week I'll let you's know if it helps my fuel consumption.
People say sportlines for show and prolines for go but weather this is true or not I couldnt say. I've gone for the Sportlines on 172 cup dampers and the handling is excellent for fast road use.
Ok mate thanks for the help. Yeah it seems to be good for fault finding I wasnt expecting any faults to pop up as the car is running totally fine it's a bit heavy on fuel but I've got an idea what that might be.
Plugged in my rs tuner yesterday and it flagged up 2 fault codes one of which was knock sensor faulty. Are there any symptoms with the car if the knock sensor is faulty? And what does this sensor do when it is working right?
So I would need to get another unlock code after already buying one for my 172? Also it through up a couple of faults these were the knock sensor and lambda sensor does that mean these need replaced?
