The ones for the 182 are £24 aside but yours will be a little cheaper i think, fitting would be about an hour at renault so maybe £100, could be a little more though.
Just had a look at that meet Mike, looks like it's going to be quite some meet but i'll have to pass, i have a driveway to lay early saturday morning and i think if i went to this it would be a late one :)......i'll have to try and get to at least one of those trafford meets at some point though.
Buttertubs would/will be good but the only problem is that for some it's a long way to the other side depending on which side you start from, i'm south of the pass so i could start at either end.
We'll definately sort it one way or the other for spring next year, hopefully it will turn out to...
Lol :)......maybe i should go to this krispy kreme myself one day, as for the pass, it's one of those roads that you feel you have to do at some point in a car, like you said it's a nightmare when you're on it but at least it's a tick in the box when it's done, i think early next year when it...
Lol yeah i wanted to find another photo stop but there was nothing after the one we went too, i was hoping for better really, something by the lake would have been good..........i was almost tempted to stop us in a lay bye on the dual carriageway but thought better of it ;)
Ha ha those pics really do make it look a shockingly low attendance :)
Good work with the camera though, at least the sun being out helped, with both the pics and the drive :)
so are they the same wheels but 1" bigger then?
The ones on the picture on post 38 look wicked, transforms the car, i was behind one just like yours matt coming back from the lakes today but as it was a middle aged woman driving i had no chance of finding out how quick it was :)
Cheers for arranging it Mike, it was a shame some didn't bother turning up as it was a good drive out with good weather, that one was a difficult run to keep people together due to the lack of overtaking places but a good drive all the same,
I can't believe how quick it was there and back in...
Yeah very easy to change, the hardest part is undoing the balance nut above the exhaust, everything else just clips in, you do have to remove the heatshield below the handbrake but's it's only 4 bolts on the shield.
Decided to sort those handbrake cables today, take a look and see why!

Ok so yesterday i thought i would ring my local renault dealer and get some new handbrake cables just to be on the safe side having seen the protective sheath had come off the old one where it connects to the rear brakes, was i glad i decided to do this job today.
Take a look at what i found...
Don't know why people want to buy them with standard exhausts anyway, if it's standard still at the age it is then the exhaust is going to fail sooner rather than later, doing nice mods isn't necessarily a sign of a car being ragged about, mine has tastefull mods and is well looked after...
not really mate, i had to change my alarm due to water damage, some of them just do it unfortunately, £220 for a good toad alarm fitted, much better than the standard rubbish too.
Oh and as far as i know you can't fix the old ones due to them being crap and not made anymore, parts are too hard...
Can depend on something as simple as belts too, a mate on here practically had to give his RB away a few weeks back because it didn't have the belts done, mine for instance had the belts done at 35k last september and it's only just hit 40k now so for that alone i wouldn't let it go for less...
Mike i've seen you drive ;)
Matt i can't believe you would pass this drive up for the sake of a few petrol pennies :).......this is what your car was made for :D
I'm a definate, looking forward to it :)........and i'm getting two new handbrake cables tomorrow so happy days :D
Oh and by the way that pub doesn't open till 12 so might have to re think the place to eat.
is yours a discovery 3 then?.........mine was a 300tdi, not much in the way of toys really but still fun to drive, don't think they even got hill decent till the discovery series 2, amazingly my disco was easier than the clio to park sitting so high up :)
Cheers for the offer :)
though hopefully the cable should hold, i just noticed the black protective cover over it had broken and two or three strands of the cable had frayed with rust so it's not drastic yet, i'll have to find one from somewhere pretty soon though :)........oh and last time i...
Yeah to be honest i'll probably do it if everyone else is up for it Mike.................just don't be behind me on the way up the pass ;).........though luckily i'm usually at the back anyway :rasp:
