Thought i might wait till after trax to see how that goes time wise with the stops to pick people up along the way at different services but we can get a list going to get an idea of numbers.
These are the pick up places and times along the way to trax so we'll start with this and see if it...
No you can do it where it is, once you have the old one out and the oil has drained then just having the front end up on axle stands will be enough, taps are only about three inch long so there won't be a problem.
Once you have the old one out you will be able to look under with a torch to see...
Yes true but a cat 1 alarm has to immobilise the engine itself with a closed circuit, if i could start the engine then the alarm itself did nothing but make a noise, wouldn't stop someone stealing your car, leaving aside the renault key activated engine immobiliser which most renaults have even...
If you are lucky then it's the nut that is damaged and once out you can just put a new plug it but if the threads on the sump are damaged then you will have to tap out the hole to the next available size up and buy a suitable nut to fit, try undoing it again but this time see if you can get a...
You're welcome, wish i had one to work to when i did mine :)
Not sure either mate why you need to use them but i wish i had used them first time, i still have minor cold start issue's even now from using the wrong plugs.
See Paul at RS Tuning in leeds, if you're going to get it done then have it done right first time :)........remember though power isn't everything, you'll feel more pull from lower rpm's but that will most likely be from an increase in torque rather than bhp and it's torque that the RS clio's...
I think i got lucky with my 182 clutch, it feels so light compared to Mike's and Matt's RB's when i tried their's, not sure i would want to live with that everyday!
Read this plug changing guide i did a while ago and you will see why you HAVE to use the correct plugs :)........it took my engine about two weeks to recover from the wrong plugs as it just messes with the timing of the spark and throws the whole smooth running of the engine into meltdown(did on...
I'm with brentacre now but they were'nt the cheapest quote i got, they allowed me to modify more but the best quote was with adrian flux and a little tip for young drivers is to get the quote on the day of the french car show in the main hall, they offer you a massive discount if you get the...
My standard 182 alarm is getting ripped out next week for something decent, stupid thing never worked properly anyway!.........and as i found out it doesn't immobilise the engine, mine went off last week and i could still start the engine.
Yeah you'll be fine Ben mate and we're all friendly anyway, plus It's not that chris is slow he just has to watch out for any tall pieces of gravel in the road :)
I bought his from halfords last week and i'm anoyed i didn't buy it years ago, it's the ratchet spanner set, apparently it has a lifetime guarantee too :)......and at my store it's half price down to £40 at the moment, no more fiddly spanner work in hard to reach places...
Nice, never thought of it like that till now.......I agree it would have been better to name them going by the amount of power they actually do put out !
I'm going to run it down to trax and back on v power then Paul will get it back on the rollers two week later, i did the oil myself with fully synthetic stuff only a month back and it has a new pipercross filter so Paul thinks it's more the fuel than anything else, plus who knows if that exhaust...
Ok so plenty of guesses here but the truth is more puzzling than any of those answers, here is the picture of the fault, it's the centre section to sports cat that i had made last year from zorstec, the two sections are welded together so this pipe is coming from the cat into the centre...
I went to see Paul at RS Tuning today as a follow up visit from a couple of months back when it seemed there was a serious issue with the power my 182 was putting out when he did a power run for me.
I made a few minor and major changes over the last two months and today it went back on the...
Sounds good to me Mike, have you got a route in mind yet?.....last time i went up there it was in the diesel tank of a land rover i had and it took me 4 hours just to get to ravenglass :(
PS
got the DS2500's on now so i have much more confidence in not driving off the edge of a cliff whilst up...
I have a yozzasport decat pipe for my 182 but i don't think i could bring myself to put it on, it's just way too loud for everyday use i'm afraid, the positives don't seem to outway the negatives for me.
