If nigh on three times more surface area is 'as efficient' then you'll be right Mcloud.
It will fit. You'll need to move the hose to the coolant tank out of the way and shift the battery back by about 1/2 an inch then give it some good love.
Same here. CAS coatings I guess?
I paid £1.50/inch as I had lacquer so £96.00 all in. If i'm honest, there are very minute hair line cracks in the lacquer but they have been on for 18 months with no chips and look fantastic when clean.
We're not going to find out the price of this until full details are finalised.
However, Mini-valvers inlet is claimed to be the forerunner. So, how much was yours Mini as that may give us a guide?
That's the one.
Undid bottom nut, removed spindle and mount as one, split the top nut, removed the old mount, refitted the new one ( I tried to locate on the collar half way up the shaft), loosely fitted the top nut and refitted the hole unit then tightened from the top & bottom.
So I need to...
Yep, I had to split the top nut to get it off. Rebuilt off the car with the new mount and refitted. I then held the nut under the car while my Old Boy tightened from the top.
The spindle still span slightly under the ratchet so we double checked and he has said any tighter would rip the mount.
Not sure mate, some kind of counter balance/weight. Seems completely pointless but it was the only change I made other than the mounts so thought it may be relevant.
So the nut on the upper gearbox mount should/will spin when using a ratchet and spanner or should there be no movement at all...
I've changed all four mounts. The top mount and upper gearbox mount are Kangoo TD items, the lower gearbox mount is from K-Tec and the dog-bone is a Powerflex.
Now when I steer left even at low speed and on shallow corners, it feels as if the right front wheel is tucking under the car, the...
I'm doing all 4 tomorrow. The upper mount and dog-bone look easy. I've read the guide on the upper gearbox mount but can't find much on the lower.
Any guides?
Not sure if you've received one of these yet:
"Hi, i'm so sorry for not emailing sooner. I have honestly not seen any previous emails. These mounts were on order over 2 weeks ago, but when they failed to arrive on the specified date, we chased to find that Powerflex had never recieved our...

Time is precious my friend. I do desperately want to get them done but I don't have the time to do it in 2 stints.

I paid on the 15th. Not heard a bean since despite 3...
Not as yet mate.
The Guy I bought by polyurethane dog bone from on Ebay has decided it is OK to not actually send me anything. As soon as I get that resolved, I'll be fitting all 4 new mounts and posting results.
Mine developed a massive leak last weekend.
It turned out to be the pipe that runs down the front of the block that can be seen under the fuel rail guard. There is a union at the top and a sensor coming off a few inches further down, they were both loose.
Worth checking as it managed to lose...
Yep, same as mine. The buffer completely fills the right hand side of the mount as you look from the n/s.
The gearbox mount looks to be the same as the one that K-Tec sell as well.
Confirmation over the weekend.
