You should be ok Ali, if those shards of aluminium were going to cause trouble it would have happened almost instantly. The filter may have been like that, or as you said, the bits may have burned up during combustion.

Stainless is not just stainless! I learnt the hard way. I got a crap stainless exhaust fabricated for my cup which was breaking at the welding points every fortnight. I eventually went to C+C in hillington who made me a proper t-304 one which has been solid ever since.

What a waste. Hope it's fixable. Hate to see a RS going to the scrappy.

lol No it's not coils, it's H+R springs. They only lower a small amount at the rear so that they can still put a progressive wind on the spring and still retain some ride quality. It looks OK in the flesh, I dont know what happens when I take pictures that makes it sit high. Besides, My splitter...

That's it been lowered 40mm front, 15mm rear on H+R's! I have came to the conclusion that it must be the white wheels that make it look high.
