I need camber bolts for my coilovers on the 182 - where is the cheapest place to buy them? Do Demon Tweeks do them? What size do I need?
Also, these rear 'shims' that can change rear camber, how much and where from? (how much adjustment do these allow?)
Cheers!
That's not exactly due to crap braking though is it! ;)
Justin, I had exactly the same problem as you - with people saying that 182 brakes are awesome, etc - mine couldn't get abs to kick-in unless the road was wet and I literally jumped on the brakes.
I tried changing the brake fluid -...
Fred, when you re-tighten the top mounts, how do you stop the strut top from spinning around (the bit directly under the top mount, but on the other side of the bodywork)?
This is a common problem on lots of 172/182's. Apparently it's to do with the top mounts, and you can take it to Renault to have them filed down (there's a Renault technical note regarding this). However I wouldn't worry about it because 1) the fix doesn't really work and 2) it only happens when...
I don't think the V6 has the sat nav-type antenna, but the boot doesn't open properly to stop the V6 rear spoiler hitting it. Class bit of engineering that :clown:
Depends on the buyer. Someone from this forum would probably insist on it, where as the general public might not care so much (or even be aware what a 'cup' spoiler is).
btw, I don't think you could get the cup spoiler with the satnav option.
Dave, you sound like you know a bit about this suspension malarkey - could you keep us posted in this thread with how you get on with the different Gaz settings? I'd be very keen to get mine setup with the best handling/flowing balance - haven't found it yet! ....and if they aren't any good...
I have the same problem lol. I use a crappy old vauxhall jack to lift the body slightly, and then use the trolley jack. Starting to get used to it now!
I thought a 330D ci would be even more expensive? They haven't had the diesel varients around for very long. Damn good choice though, great handling, good looks and plenty of real-world power (aren't they chipped to 400lb/ft?)
