182 spare wheel - or lack of it.

Yeah it was pretty rough at Blyton Park. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of tyre wear the first time I went to Bedford (or maybe I was driving like a puppy!).

182 spare wheel - or lack of it.

lol! 15"s / slicks certainly cheaper than Exaltos in the long run if you do a lot of trackdays! If youre only doing the occasional one though theres no point.

You are going to use Exaltos for trackdays? You must be a wealthy man!

182 spare wheel - or lack of it.

Just buy any old Renault wheel from a scrappy - one off a Megane will do fine. As long as its got a legal tyre it will do to get you home.

When I was in my early 20s I made a lot of dosh working as a freelance programmer (it was a long time ago!). So I bought a Porsche 911. I couldnt drive it to save my life - all over the place. I sold it after a few months - glad I did or Id have killed myself. Id have another one now (but...

    Security

Like most cars, they are really easy to break into. Your alarm should go off of course, but your average AA man will get into your car in a few seconds. The immobiliser makes a pretty good job of preventing it being driven off though. Welcome to the forum by the way :D

    Wheels Rubbing

Presumably the arch lining is falling out - moving towards the wheel. Theres no way standard wheels would rub.

    Track day Insurance

It was hilarious - they both carved Val up while she was having her lesson - Ed was in the car at the time doing a slow lap to show her the lines. He just got on the radio and that was the end of that - no more driving!

    Track day Insurance

Trackday organisers are getting very good at spotting idiots these days. Briefings are very thorough, and everyone knows where and how they are allowed to overtake. People who ignore the rules get black-flagged and sent home. This happened to at least 2 drivers at Pembrey last weekend (Caterham...

    Track day Insurance

As I said - very expensive and crap cover. I couldnt afford to do trackdays if I had to pay an extra £150 for insurance every time! Fair play to those who can though.

    Track day Insurance

This comes up regularly at this time of year. 1. Unless you can get written confirmation from your insurance company that your policy covers trackdays you should assume that it does not. 2. Trackday specific policies are very expensive. As a general rule of thumb it will cost as much to...

Wish You got This Service from Renault

WA Lewis (Renault Main Dealer) in Telford will pick up and return your car no problem at all. Its a small thing but very important - I think the service from this dealer is one of the reasons that Telford is over-run with Clios!
