Ive had Eibachs on mine since the car was virtually new and theyve served me well. Started using 15"s and slicks for trackdays recently, and now Im thinking adjustable coilovers so I can lose a lot more ride-height on track.

If your car was making 98db youd get pulled over every time you went on the road. Doubt itll be above 90. Give the organisers a call and see whether you can get it tested beforehand.

Just go to a scrappy and get a Megane 15" wheel.

Almost all of them. I have wheels from a Megane (my wifes Megane!) which I use as trackday wheels. Theyre 15" but if you fit 195/50/15 tyres theyre fine.

Quite a few people have the oil & filter changed at 6k miles for this reason (I did). Renault say its totally unnecessary.

Ideally you should do it all in one go to avoid cold starts. Drive to Scotland and back (or England if you live in Scotland).

Bed it in hard = max power & minimum engine life apparently. Follow the instructions and the engine will last longer.

Cruise control is a menace. On the M6 toll (only place it can be used in the UK!) there are loads of Volvo / Merc drivers who just sit in the middle lane asleep with cruise set at 80.... :confused:

They could always do it over a weekend at York or Santa Pod. How long does it take to fit a turbo conversion anyway? :p

This happened to me, and the dealer replaced the arch liners under warranty (nice of them as Id done it by whacking a cone on a trackday). I gather its quite a common thing though - so it may have been caused by a stone or something breaking the liner.

yup they should be. Had my engine mount done under warranty. (Didnt creak though, more of a clunk).

How much have you lowered it by? If the wheels are ET37, and 7 x 17, you should have no problems.

Smashed my arch liner to a million bits when I hit a cone on a trackday. Replaced under warranty :D

It is a worry - even more with Mooses car which had been turned off for ages before it went on fire.

Car never goes better than just after a trackday. GIVE IT SOME! :D

The F1s are much better in the wet, and will last a lot longer - hence much higher price.
