I was very disappointed with the EVO that I drove at Bedford Autodrome, think it was a VI - the new ones may be better. Alfa - Ive had loads of them, great cars, with genuine character. Depreciate quickly, but still a great car.
sent him a pm, but dont think hes around. Dealers got me one to try out this lunchtime after much pestering. Just want to check it fits in the garage really.
had another trip to the dealer today, mutually agreeable deal struck, the red one is on its way subject to a trial fitting in our garage at home (if only they could find a demo car:()
Its 191mm wider between the mirrors than a 172/182. Cant work out why, but the brochure that I have says 1639mm for the 182 and 1830 for the V6. I actually doubt the accuracy of this. It wouldnt go though my garage door if that figure is accurate.
Theres no doubt that the fronts a lot wider...
Could some kind soul tell me the width of a V6 Mk2 between the front arches please? I need to work out whether itll fit in the space that the 172s nose currently occupies. The rest of the car wont be a problem.
seeing my dealer on Wednesday, will sign on the dotted line then, and see what delivery options emerge. Dont really want the car until after the Spa trip, so end of September would be good.
Unless of course theres one in stock somewhere :devilish:
I did learn last night that Liquid Yellow is available on the Vee, having sobered-up a little now im leaning back towards the red though. I guess itll be easier to get hold of one in a standard colour too.
Maximum power:
108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque:
5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm
Even at its most efficient power setting, the big 14 consumes 1,660 gallons of heavy fuel oil per hour.
Blimey.
I took my life (and my wallet) in my hands this morning and popped into our local dealer, collected all the blurb. Next door is a Nissan garage, they had a couple of 350Zs, which seems to be same price / performance etc. Nice car, but just a nice car, could hardly call it a stunning car...
lol, strictly commando for us Kathy ;) Surprised to hear you can put luggage on top of the engine cover - can you open the window between the engine bay and the passenger compartment for long things (thinking skis here)?
