in my honest opinion, if you're 19 on that kinda cash, I'd just save up first. Maybe keep the vts or getting somethin a little cheaper on insurance etc!
You'll be surprised how quick the money racks up once you start saving properly! better than paying interest on a depreciating asset
how much do you get after tax month dude if you don't mind me askin? they aren't expensive to buy or run.
the only thing I found at 19 was the insurance was a joke
As in over night, or drop in the morning and pick up late afternoon.
Can be arsed messing around getting to manchester, coming home (about 50 miles away) then going back the next day. Would rather hang around
just got a quote off them JD.
I've heard they are pretty good. A bit pricey mind. £320 for all 4 to be refurbed in anthracite, strip refit and balanced, and wheels waxed!
Any ideas on how long you need to leave the car with them for?
Where's the best place to get the wheels re-done. As in powder coated in anthracite? I live near Preston, so somewhere around there or a mobile one
They are pretty messed up to be honest.
Cheers
they have extremely quick turn around of cars at that place, so it seems anyway. they offer pretty decent part ex prices and they price their cars to sell quickly.
good buy anywho :approve:
Depends.
Standing start, probably the 172 upto 60mph. rolling start the GSI will probably just keep pulling away ever so slightly upto silly speeds. Saying that mine isn't standard (it's been remapped)
I did a comparison thread as I've owned both. I'd find it but I can't be arsed :)
anyone :(
i saw on a forum something about authorising my computer on itunes. Did that but still didn't work. Also reset the ipod and loaded it all back on. The songs etc work. But the freaking apps won't.
Taken the apps off for now. it's just a pain in the ass. Stupid ass software. I think...
After having H&Rs on my old 172, I would say getting coilovers seriously isn't worth the cash unless you're going to be using the car on a track...
Looks great, but with the English roads in the state they are in, they cause more grief than good. pot holes, speed bumps, raised man holes...
You may have seen my other thread about the clio I was taking my girlfriend to see, well that sold. Anyway, there is one for sale near where she lives. It's a mk2 ph2 1.4 clio. 2004 reg.
Just after advice on what to look out for really. I know most of it will be common sense, but servicing...
yeah I agree mate. I wouldn't mind a trophy...probably one of the only cars for less than 10k, that looks great, drives and handles well and will hold its value for time to come.
Personally don't think that one is worth £9,990 though lol. 8-8.5k maybe
I dunno, the cup packed 182s with average mileage are going for around 6k, trophys are generally around 7.5-8k. So they're still a good 25-30% more expensive...
Lol..Fletcher, I was being sarcy about it being a bargain. 10k for a trophy. Granted they should hold value better than normal 182s, but 10 freaking grand is nearing R27 money
