Its only "cheating" to strip the lot out, run a low time, put all the kit back in and go round claiming the low time. I used to use the 172 with loads of stuff stripped out, so if I had actually managed a good time I could have claimed it as an accurate representation of my car on the road. If I...
Yup, have a look in the service book. Any scratch, chip, ding or dent has to be repaired by Renault (no doubt at usual extortionate price) over the course of 8 years for the warrenty to be valid. Ive got the same bubbling on the driver side but Im just going to pay to have it refinished. Not by...
Are you talking to me or someone else?!:confused::confused:
I think Im talking to Craig/Adams_16v, but youve got me confused now!
PS: Although youre most welcome to do some AP22 runs before you start tuning your RSi.
Craig, Ill give you a race if you want. Last time I raced Craggy (standard, but with back seats out from about 35mph) it was pretty even. Although Craggy is at pains to tell me that hed hammer me from a standing start!
When you get some 15s back on Ill have a run against you on the...
Craggy - left the RSi fairly easily, but I will confess that it put up more of a fight than I thought itd manage. Still, I managed to vanquish it by spitting flames at it from my exhaust :D. Seemed a similar difference between Willy and RSI as between CooperS Hartge and Williams.
Si just...
Nope.....still dont understand the "Lexus" light thing. The actual light parts look like bits of plastic from a cheap christmas cracker. Makes good cars look cheap. Barely a step up from neons.:confused::confused:
Besides,

Exactly where mine seems to take a dip. It perks up a bit once I get over 100. On an entirely private stretch of road it got from 100 to 130 suprisingly quickly, but I got scared and had to brake. :o
Very nice Craggy.
Although I can see some quite un-necessary, performance sapping carpet peeking out from under the seats :o. Cmon man, get it sorted ;)
Argh! And plastic rear trim too!!! Free performance....!
What about the roof lining? :devilish:
Clean16v - did I read right that you ran a 14.4?! Thats with a Williams engine in a 16v?! Is the engine supposed to be standard? I swear to god that my Williams would not even get anywhere near that, even if i sent it up the strip with Craggy driving. With extra lead in his boots.
I think I...
Adi, Im sure this has been gone over before, but what are the performance mods on your car? I thought it already had cams! Fantastic result. Well done.
Been investigating my annoying, buzzing, banging exhaust system tonight and think Ive narrowed it down to a badly fitted back box (standard). Its a bit too high and hits against the heat shield. The rubber mountings are also too short for the metal rods that theyre attached to, so they slide...

:D Heheheh.....some engine transplant that would be!
Yeah, can second that the cheaper £99 snooper is a whole heapo sh*te! It detects cameras okay, but it also detects traffic lights (very useful), filling stations and automatic doors.
Had a pratt in a 325 (Ci I think - new shape, M3 style thing) tailgating me on the M1 in the fast lane. He tried to undertake by cutting across 2 lanes! I put my foot down and he ended up behind me again. Not as quick as I thought itd be to be honest. They look pretty good, but dont seem that quick.
Really?! I thought the 106 and VTR/S had a reputation for catching out the unwary. Didnt think it was possible to be much more forgiving than the Williams. It almost makes me feel like I can drive!
My gears sometimes feel a bit "sticky" too. Usually putting it into first. How would I go about changing the gear box oil? Is it something I can do myself?
