if you can't feel the scratch, only see it, u can flat it out, using 1500 wet on a small block, tho u need abrasive polish to bring the laquer shine back. otherwise, you'll be flatting out the high points, any material sticking up, but it'll still need paint.

look on the 'bay, wings on all the time, and search for "172 breaking" as well, you can get some good prices and it may even b in ur colour! :)
