i'm not sure quite what forum to put this in, so i'm goin for this..
i've just taken my dials apart to fit new leds, and found a bit of cardboard sticking out. after revealing the PCB, turns out its covering up the engine warning light which is on!!!!!! and has been on since i bought the car...
A GRAND??!! was willing 2 spend a chunk of my student loan lol but that's just silly! shud've expected it really :(.
where u based cat171? do u have an alarm?? ;) lol
hi guys, done some searches and found nowt on this, but an inspiring thread on door handle LEDs! i'm trying to figure out how to make my interior light come on when the car is unlocked, fade out when the car's locked, turn on when the car's turned off, etc. my aged t reg focus did all this, yet...
i know, i'm still a little unsure, but with everything else being OEM i was keen of having something different and these in white sure are! but i've got 16" OZ superturismos in the back of my mind still...
keep at it mate, my car cost a bomb and i've had to drill my wheel nuts out, re thread a hub, both windows broke, new belts, exhaust fell off, and a new key! my oil light flickered too, new sensor and wiring, easy peasy. if you love the car anyway, replace what breaks with the best u can buy and...
last week i managed to finish spraying and fitted the front end, and part sprayed/ fitted the spoiler, so i was at least driving with my brake light back! the photos are a bit creative as it's still in progress, but payday soon will mean I can buy the skirts and spacers it desperatly needs, plus...
over the past few weeks i got some time after exams finally, and started on these babies, bumper was £40 off ebay from a scrappy in barnsley who listed a 182 front, the wings were about £25 a piece on separate auctions. though i was on the lookout for skirts, i couldn't turn down the offer of...
i've fitted my install back in, though i'm toying with a full on fibreglass build, i do often chuck shopping in and what not, plus it's easy to remove. for those wondering, it's 6.5" type-r alpine components, 5x7 co-axials in the rear (as they were straight fit in the focus and i can't be...
at the same time, over a few days off in the weeks ( i'm a geography student and work at HMV!), i colour coded my door handles and spoiler, plus some new bump strips and 1.4 badges sourced off here and about £35 all told.
the clio was back on the road in january this year, and the focus garaged instead for an engine rebuild ( which has turned into a replacement!), and i decided to keep her. the plan was for colour coding, a 172 front, 182 rear with look-a-like exhaust, koncept spoiler, lowered and a bit of a...
I couldn't really afford the car, and so it kinda fell apart. in the end, the windows were held up by blocks of wood, the exhaust kept falling off as it was too heavy, i blew an amp, i lost the locking wheel key and after taking over 20 hours to drill out the front two i gave up, and bought a...
right, i've wanted to post one of these project threads for ages, but my car's either been standard, broken, or too embarrassing to post! having finally had time and money ( and developed taste), i'm gonna post some piccies, in fact quite a few, showing whzat i've done, and what i'm gonna do! i...
ah! was trying to remember who had that white one, i loved that! yea, i have the wings, wanted to do it properly. i'll post a few piccys once it sits right! :)
if you can't feel the scratch, only see it, u can flat it out, using 1500 wet on a small block, tho u need abrasive polish to bring the laquer shine back. otherwise, you'll be flatting out the high points, any material sticking up, but it'll still need paint.
hey guys, now the painting is over i've started fitting my 172 front end to my beloved 1.4, but hit a snag or two.. the wings fit on perfectly, but the bumper was a right pain! the car didn't have front mounting brackets, the original bumper bolted on downward but the 172 is from the front, so...
i've just done my strips and spoiler, cheating slightly as it was under the instruction of my mate at this garage with proper tolls and paint, but i can tell u high build primer will be your best friend if you want a smooth finish! its kinda filler and primer in a can. keep working at it with...
ditch the sport badge mate, get yourself a nice cliosport sticker off here! stealth shelf will make those 6x9's sound better with a stable mount, plus they won't get swiped. mine's dropped 40/60 on 17's, but it rubs even with the arches gone. silvervision bulbs +1. huge difference for something...
lol, my mate says it's burgundy when it's dirty grrr! find somewhere better? shame, there was another owner on here from the forge with a 182, we cud of had a forge cruise and a meet in the car park over the road lol!
it's all a bit of a work in progress, so forgive the wheels, but it's 40/60 on g-max shocks and springs, £40 on ebay lol! rubs horribly and the rides as rough as winehouse, but looks gr8 woo! :)
insurance sucks! i've just swapped 2 adrain flux, all mods declared, 17's with custom paint, 172 rep, £1000 stereo, £430 wooo! 1.4, 25 yrs, 3 yrs no claims, no points. cheaper than my tesco renewal at standard, well pleased :) try them.
lol, it's not effort, it just looks gr8! thought if it wasn't much 2 hard it could be fun and a bit different. tho i guess if it was simple it'd have been done b4 lol! cheers :)
very shiny red 182 (too dark to see exactly the colour and goin round the roundabout, couldn't stare too long lol!) came behind me prob after spotting the C/S sticker! anyones? looked like a sweet ride m8! :D
