Remember your clio has more torque and weighs less that your old integra type R. What other hot hatches have you owned? it seems that the 172 is the torquiest so far from what ive read......
I think it was Pillessponnen or whatever his name is said that he owned an Integra Type R and he raced...
Tell me about it folks. I had a new gear box and the new one is starting to crunch. My 83 scirocco 1.6 never EVER crunched in its whole 73000 mile life. My clio has only done 21000 miles and its had a new box. Appalling! AND the fact that yall have had new ones and have crunchings is just also...
as benR said earlier, youre probably giving it more gas than you would in the Gti being a smaller engine with less power higher up the range therefore less low down torque and you shouldnt give it as much as you do in the 106. Its bound to understeer more as it has more power than your gti...
I got beaten off the lights by a Civic Type R the other day: this was due to his highly skilled driving and going off on a very fresh orange whilst the previous cars were still going around the corner! knob end..... I wish peopled race fairly! At the drag strips, doesnt it give you a false...

also its linked to suspension. If you have boaty/warn suspension at the back (for example saxo probably has torsion beam, does it?) when you boot the throttle, the weight of the car is shifted to the rear making it boat down at the back, therefore the people in the car are being pulled to the...

With such close power outputs and car size/different gearing etc etc. It would all be down to the driver in that he probably changed gear quicker or held the revs higher when he slotted it into gear, its mainly all to do with how the cars are driven.
For example, you would have thought that a...
Craigy - you could always buy my group N ecu :) yours for £300 and even says Renault on the back of it (proper renault equipment) used for Group N rallying. Raises ya rev limiter to 7800 rpm (on the guage) and when i had it on mine (standard) it seemed to have better throttle response, but the...
Why not tell her to get protected no claims on her insurance, then make the claim in a few weeks if you dont mind driving with a knackered door...
She obviously should have been watching as she reversed, but even if she was, she definately should have asked you to move the cars?! my mum gets...

I raced a sti new bug-eyed 261 bhp sccob with a woman driving it and it was pulling away from me. I also raced a WRX 2001 standard scooby Y-reg silver estate and I pulled away from that whilst accelerating and waving as we sailed past......
Even though the 261 bhp scoob did accelerate first...
