I enjoy it when it does that! its the whole experience of driving the 172, in fact i was following (toasting with) a new mk.2 172 yesterday and he had to brake hard and his car was skipping all over the place, as was mine! it was so funny to watch another car do it as well!

I guess 106 zests can toast 172s - i was absolutely cained by one from the lights a while back, pity i hadnt engaged the clutch.

Well, the guy who fitted it prepares race cars - one being a clio cup car. He told me it was designed for use with the standard setup on the car, with no exhaust or filter(?) i asked him and said to him, "are you sure?" and he said "yep" ! Has anyone ever heard of this chip? Its made it quicker...

How about treating your car to a reset? turn on the ignition, but not the engine. Pump the accelerator 5 times, turn off for 30 secs then on.

I need a new gear box for my 172, it crunches in 3rd really badly all the time. Ive raced a saxo VTS many times and once we get onto a dual carriage way, i just disappear into the sunset. I even did it in my dads Golf 1.8 turbo golf! needless to say, the vts driver was not pleased...
