Hi mate - sorry to Hijack ya thread but I have exactly the same problem on both accounts. Guy at our local motor spare shop said it would cost me £70 just for the bulb WTF???... Please could someone advise which bulb to get??... My washer is intermitent, some days its okay - other days...

I paid £250 for one out of a scrapper after I blew the crown wheel out of both sides of it - 16k on clock..... was a tw*t to fit too.... ok now - for the time being :-)

Mine does/did it... exhaust hitting subframe under car.... engine mount related!!.. ^^ do above - also, under battery, mine keeps coming loose.... have to tighten it up every other month!!... there is a gearbox one under the car - get some polyflex bushes from K-tec!!... job sorted...

I went to a place who charged me £60 to recondition mine. Put a new CV on it!!.. That was for a 172 too...

When I start my car up one of the front headlights comes on even though they are switched off, when I turn the side light on the light goes off and the sidelight are on as expected, then when I turn the main light on, only one light comes on - the other one flickers but doesnt come on...

BUMPY.... Thanks for all your suggestions, recomendation and connections..... however all have led to no avail... Im getting a bit peeved off not having any tunes as I now find myself listening out for rattles/knocks/squeeks.... Think I might have to stop being a tight ass and pay...
