Last night my exhasut started blowing quite badly :( Funny this should happen 2 days after being to Reanult to check the whole vibration issue. Does anyone know if this is terminal or can it be repaired??

You will only get the tractor look if you fit the wrong size tyres. 195/40R17 or 215/35R17 are a better match than the 205/40R17!!

You can get them but you have to buy them from Renault

The 195/40R17 are £90 a corner from mytyres.net and they are only available in the Pirelli P-Zero Nero. Still not a bad price for 17s If your gonna stick with 16s then stick with the standard wheels there aint nowt wrong with them apart from size IMO. PM me your e-mail address and Ill send...

Oh well it wasnt you, but there was a guy in my local dealer with exactly the same problem. They told him they couldnt help cos they didnt know what the problem was but they would contact him once they had more info!! Know it doesnt help but at least you not the only one.

The 35s have 7mm less on the sidewall than a 205/40, its not lowered.

WAIT A MINUTE!!!! Just been to pick up my car, the bit that they forgot to tell me over the phone.....I have to pay 20% which amounts to ~£100!!! So the exhaust costs £500!!!??? Where is that Renault Customer Service no!!! They say its cos the exhaust is not covered fully under warranty but...

:D I must have one. They are sooo fast and handle soooo well! I did actually drive it back to back with a standard WRX but soon forgot about the WRX;) The brakes, gearbox, steering are all superb!! There is hardly any turbo lag to talk of and I love it!!!! I think I want one more than a V6 now!!

Well after about 7 trips to the dealer and a lot of grief the dealer are now going to replace the centre section of my exhaust :D. But they tell me I now have a oil leak!?! :confused::(

Did you see that they tested a Subaru WRX STI and it was only a second faster than the CTR.

Its got nothing to do with weight the 17s I have a are fractionally lighter than standard 172 16s. Im looking into getting different tyres 215/35R17 they are exactly the same diameter as the 16s but slightly wider :o

To be fair both runs were on a slight incline which wont have helped either but 10 car length is what it was Paul will hopefully post and confirm what Im saying.

They are just plain and wear really fast!
