You may have no choice but to go for the genuine Renault item i'm afraid. There's nothing wrong with the NGK/NTK product range, it's quality but Renault were sneeky sneeky with these sensors around 2008 and updated the general wiring looms across the range to use a slightly different connector...
Adam, you really need to know exactly what is causing the solid red light before you can even begin to tackle this one (or even be in the fight). Unless there is an obvious wiring fault you are going to need some kind of network scanner like CLIP that can tell you where the fault lay but my...
Not to mention its a pain in the ass to mix up to the correct specification beforehand. As Fred said above, just buy yourself 5l of Renault Type-D and be done.
£120-150 is the going rate to supply and install the aux drivebelt kit on an A/C equipped vehicle and you can't really trust anyone IMO unless it's been earnt over time.
It'll be the loom differences I bet. Damn Mk1's had that many loom specs it was just nuts! Williams 1 ECU should not be imob'd though and will work just fine on a 1.8 16v loom
You've had another!!!! Fek, one's enough for me but hat off to you for daring. Yeah I didn't even bother with the car seat in the rear and just used the front seat with the airbag switched off.
Mines not an RS no its the 2.0 tCE which they now call the GT Line. Same 2.0T/VVC engine as the...
I bet your daughter is growing now, how old is she? I miss using my 172 as a daily and went Meg III but the Clio has become more of a trailer queen these days. Kids huh!?!
Recons aren't but brand new are pricey and you need to press the tri-point spindle to which has to be at the precise dimension to stop it destroying the aux belt.
EDIT:
NEW - £293.65
RECON - £167.58
Renault used to make three specs for the phase 2 vehicles... N1 - N3. N1 was obviously fitted to base spec car/van derivatives and most had N2 or N3 depending on them needing the additional inputs for rain & light sensors. They finally did away with it though and now just supply N3 as they're...
Just wanted to make sure as some people sill don't then wonder why the red LED flashes them to death.
Yep, an 'N3 vX.XX' will work on any X65 requiring an 'N3' level (or lower) controller as you can configure them to turn off certain features if they're not needed. I personally hate...
They're at the age now... not bloody cheap either for new from Renault!
Just FYI though - 2.0 16v (F4R) Scenic I, phase II PAS Pumps are the same which will help some stupid Autofactors find a pump for cheaper ;)
Yeah the 5A in F21 with the door open markers isn't the clearest on its purpose at first glance but its the main low voltage supply to vehicles interior powering the UCH, Diag socket, Central locking and the Instrument panel so when it blows s**t gets real and people assume the worst without...
The software version will not matter - If you have an 'N3' you should not use a lower model such as 'N2' as some features will not work (such as auto-lighting, cruise control). Renault now only supply 'N3' units as they can be configured as an 'N2' so fitting a new 'N3' will see you right.
You...
Not trying to do someone out of money here but Renault are now sending key fobs out pre-coded.
You can still buy blanks which require coding but you can also order to VIN and it'll come pre-cloned.
NOTE: If you have changed the ECU/UCH/KEY set you cannot use this service.
It's an addition to the ABS program and an integral part of the ABS module/computer.
The only thing you could do is pull the 10A fuse for the ABS but its not advised as you will also put the module into its default/mechanical mode which is 50/50 brake bias.
Ah right, I'm sat here panicking you reet b*****d lolz
Yes the notes for the car do show the timing was quite wrong and we checked it shortly after (when it had the u/s H02) which showed everything was okay still.
I thought it went on the RSt dyno recently? I would be interested to know whats occured though as it had a new H02 in March and was doing decent MPG so has anything changed?
