Not entirely true, the setups can be re-configured to the specific vehicles hardware but it needs to be done by someone that knows what they're doing or else you end up with scrap.

Here's a nice quick, simple test for you... Remove the injector rail from the inlet manifold with everything still connected (fuel line & multiplugs). Now up-end it so the business ends of the jets are pointing up. Now crank the engine... you should see the injectors fire. If they do, ignition...

Check they're plugged in correctly to... silly as it sounds but it does happen

Correct, its a rally gravel wheel and so by design are heavy and strong. The actual competion units are even heavier and are not for road use. I've got a set of competition Compomotive TH3's in 17x8j for my R19 and they weigh around 7kg each without tyre.
