Im lucky to get 32ish from my 1.6 16v VTS.
I do accelerate a bit but £33 usually fills up when I do it just before the reserve comes on.
Im lucky to get 290miles.
Ironically, Im looking forward to moving to a 2.0 from the 1.6 as Im hoping to get a few more mpg.

yep, nowadays its easier to break into the house and steal the keys.
that said, id rather leave the keys downstairs than under my pillow. i wouldnt fancy being woken to a baseball bat pressed against my cheek.

I wouldnt use any sort of cushion. I tried that for a while and just found it awkward and a faff everytime I got in and out.
