Wheels should have the offset stamped into them somewhere !! If not measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the part where it meets the hub !!

Have the car tracked up at a laser tracker !! They should be able to tell you your camber and track, if its the track you could get some spacers, if its the camber you could get some camber adjustable bolts !!

Do you have any sockets ? Chrome vanadium ones ? Knock one of those onto it and get a HOOOOOGE bar on it !!

TBH the price difference between the two is small enough to choose the mk2 !!

You can either find out where the original speakers goto on the plug and use them or drill a small hole either side and grommet them up !!

When i had my PAS rack changed i had to have 2 new track rod ends as they wouldnt come out for sh*t !! They would move so i could have had it tracked up but there was no way they were coming out !! soak em in WD40 and take it to the wythall place !!

Where did you go daz ? Theres a VERY good place in whythal that has a laser tracker, worth the trip !! £20 and its very accurate !! They wont give up until its tracked !!

Do you mean camber mate ?? this can be counteracted by camber corecting bolts !! as can toe !! Probs coz its lowered !! Soak the track rod ends in WD-40 !! And i mean SOAK !!

you wont need a new axle just a new rack and 2 track rod ends !! That is if its seized !! Sounds pretty stuck to me tho !! :(

Is the steering sharp, ie do the wheels move as soon as you turn the wheel ? if the rubber bush in the column is worn the steering wheel sometimes moves a little before the wheels do !!

should screw in the same places and the wiring should clip into the dials

Is there any play in the steering ? if so weld up the column !! Do all your lights/bulbs work ? Brake pads, discs, strut top bearings, !! all in the haynes

Does it change note when you turn left or right ? Does it seem to come from one side or the engine ? Have a mate rev it until you can hear the noise and try and find where its coming from !!

What kind of squeeking ?? could it be the aux belt slipping or is it a whining ?

take out the central heater blower hole things and get a fibreglass thingy made up for it !
