Sealed induction kit like a ITG maxogen, BMC CDA or Pipercross Viper SS exhaust with decat like a K-tec or supersprint Chip like a superchip or unichip IK and exhaust wont invalidate the whole car only things that go wrong because of the mods but a chip will invalidate it !

Ticking is probably your tappets (hydraulic lifters/cam followers) !! Dont think fuel economy is related !

Had an MOT, failed on strut top bearing and play in steering rack. Changed the bearing and the rack and theres still play !! :@ !! Had a look at the column and i can see where the play is !! But how do i weld it up ? anyone done this ?

The 172 rear axle should be the same length as non 172 rear axle. Should just be a case of changing the axle and plumbing in the brakes.

Have you changed the lights for lexus lights or some other lights at all ? If not, they are just wired up wrong, switch the wires around so that the right light comes on when you want it to !

Well yes a R5 GTT engine is gonna be lighter than the F4R or F7R but i was talking about a turbod 2.0 not a smaller cc engine. All of what you said i knew and understand i was just explaining it so that everybody who didnt know how turbos/superchargers work could understand.

Piece of piss, do you mean the exterior handle ? If so two bolts on the inside of the car the unclip the rod pull the plastic clip out of the handle and pull off the car

See if there are any wires running upto and around the internal light that might be to do with the sensor !! take photos if you are unsure
