Hi all
I have a lovely brand new Kenwood 92BT sat here looking at me in the box.
As much as I'd like to keep my car totally stock, this afternoon I fitted a set of JL Audio TR front coaxials and as with everything JL I run, I was amazed at the benefit in sound in a stock car with stock head...
Alright all
I am fitting new front lower arms and was considering changing the front dampers aswell. However, I don't want this to snowball into another restoration!
The front cup dampers I can get from Adam at around £80 or something, but then on top of that he wants another £80 or so for...
I hate Halfords. I typically only use them for their discounted Mobil 1 0W40 which my DC2 lives on.
The are typically staffed by dickheads aswell.
As a laugh I went into one for a cambelt change quote on my Accord Type R with a H22A7 engine. It was just under a thousand pounds or something...
Well, what can I say? I'm smitten with the little beast.
I've had over 70 cars and some pretty nice ones so have a good reference to compare it to. What can I say? A BRILLIANT little car! I'll try and list the positives;
- Steering feel. Brilliant! I thought my DC2 Type R was pretty...
Why not just change them? LOL
I've just spent two evening painting the centre bells and outside edges of my new brake discs all round with very fine brushes and Hammerite gloss black smooth. I'm doing no more painting, lol
Thanks Alex
Yep the four that hold the mount to the actual body of the car, pointing down towards the floor.
I'll get them in stainless.
If you had an old one to hand you could measure buddy you would help me immensely!
Alright all
In my quest for OCD perfection, I am looking to change the upper mount near the cambelt and noticed the 4 bolts look crap!
The are 16mm head, but does anyone know what size (I am assuming M10) and length?
Not paying Renault over £5 a bolt so figured I'd get some lovely stainless...
Interesting you go for the Gates Powergrip kit and not the genuine, I have debated the same!
Gates belts are amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if Renault use the same belt from Gates in their kit!
I had heard from Engine Dynamics that the Gates kit now superceed's the OEM Renault one since...
I've had about 73 cars now and I'm really really fussy with them.
I've bought lots of 1 owner cars, and it also really annoys me when I go to see a car where the owner has decided to throw away all receipts/MOT's etc from new because they didn't think they needed to keep them and that the...
Hi all
Soooo many of these on ebay they all look the same!
Anyone know the actual Renault part number for the complete rear lower dogmount?
I want a new unit, not replacement powerflex bushes.
Cheers to all!
What stunning Recaros!
I have an Integra Type R with a mint set and they are quite simply the best seat around.
How did you get them to fit into the Clio?
I can find a set and then get them trimmed - but would like them to sit properly....
Any advice? How much are yours lol
I'd rather not mess with them chaps
OK so it seems maybe I disconnect the dash tweets OR put some JL 5.25" components in, which I am reluctant to do without the use of an amp or a proper headunit.
Is it easy to disconnect the dash tweets?
Alright all
I took off the speaker grilles on my 182 to see a 5.25" speaker. I am quite into my ICE and have a large personal stash of JL, Diamond, Soundstream ICE.
I realised I have two sets of new JL TR 5.25" coaxials in stock, so ordered the Clio speaker adapters as I don't like cutting...
Alright chap nope not had a DC5. I really don't fancy the whole import thing on them as I'm a little fussy on history. Yes my E30 M3 was also imported from Germany but at least it had the original German logbook (1 seriously old owner from 1988 until import to the first UK owner in 2001) and...
What didn't you like about it Russ?
I had mine for over 5 years and restored it, like I do every car.
I miss it, and I will never be able to own it again. BUT I was tired of it, and it needed a garage.
They aren't that quick and to be honest, apart from the fact they are genuine racers I...
Just read this!
I've just booked it in with Toomeys for an oil and filter change with their 25 point health check.
I had the oil anyhow so it was only £83 or something.
While I wait next Wednesday...
