any decent generic kit will do that is intended for professional use as there may not actually be a fault code stored (Launch, Snap-On, Bosch, Delphi). Ultimately non of these will be able to tell you the various engine status levels (not that you will proberbly need this info for this kind of...
Without seeing it? I know its the most wonderfull time of the year and a time of magic for children but i'm afraid i cannot diagnose that fault without seeing the car. Could be an earth, wiring, a component or the UCH.

So you put a new engine in to your car and never once checked the oil? I think a new dephaser is the least of your problems mate and really it needs a proper looking at to see what has happened and to say if it's salvageable. At the very least you need the spark plugs out and see if you can turn...
Have you honestly used anything else properly or are you just the biggest fanboy with blinkers on to the rest of the world? I've got and cannot fault the BB Playbook and the QNX OS is possibly the best tablet OS out... i'd honestly say its better than Apples offering but thats because i'm used...
Its flashing to let you know there is a fault with either the fuelling or ignition system that could potentially damage the CAT. It could be a few things really but without diagnostics you're not gonna know for sure. Just send it back to AC as it's their problem.
Mick
I'm also wagering it being caused by a cracked ring... either that or a sensor coherance issue. Would be interesting to see the waveforms generated on a scope to see what the ECM is seeing.

Personally, i'd spend on a proper diag. session to see whats triggering the alarm first. It could be an internal alarm fault (in which case you de-configure it or, if its aftermarket, rip it out) or it could be a legitimate trigger?
I had a spate of new-ish Vauxhalls with this kind of problem...
It is most likely that you have an airlock, a buggered water pump or a blockage/head gasket failure.
So, who's been working on the coolant system recently?
Mick
Bank 1, Sensor 1 is pre-CAT yes but is it the sensor itself or associated wiring? This is normally what a proper diagnostic session will tell you as at the minute its a 50/50 guess.
A faulty sensor doesnt always give a loss of performance; Maybe they're only faulty at a certain temp or range...
Never re-use a stat gasket... especially not one thats been in the car since Christ was a lad! Always replace with a new one and if fitting a new stat ALAWAYS test it opens and closes before fitting it.
Hang on a sec.... stop.
You say only half the info is working on the display but the rest, do they simply not show up at all or do they simply show - - - - ?
Mick
How exactly would you like us to help you with this? Can't you just solder them all afterall, they're all airbag related?
Just be sure to disconnect the battery before you go thrashing about with the SRS wiring... please.
I think Fred or Danny are closest to you from that part of the world as i'm in Nottingham.
Pipes aren't cheap to replace or repair (new) but if you can identify the one you need there are loads breaking on here so would be a cheaper and safer alternative to fixing yours. Have you...
Price of the pump + £40 to cover labour and a bit of fluid.
Best off contacting me via the website though if you're wanting to book in because i can't keep track of PM's on here.
Mick
Have you had any diagnostics performed yet? The problem is most likely one of two things:
1 - wiring; either in the connector or between the connector and the ECM
OR
2 - The fault is nothing to do with the CPS and needs proper looking at to diagnose.
