i think you have to squeeze one of the ends and push it into the box. as jordan172 says it will just spring back into position.

You say you want to save money - so the best option is lay out 400 odd quid now and then you'll save yourself 1500+ in the long run on an engine rebuild. I know which one I'd be going for and have it booked like asap!

Possible idle control valve or maybe MAP sensor. Only way to find out for sure is to get in on a diagnostic test, not too expensive - around £30.

no chance i reckon. when i moved out all the stuff we bought from ikea etc, i could only fit the flat square stuff in! stuff like mirrors/wardrobes i just laughed at the suggestion of getting it in the back of the clio - even when stripped!

If your only using it at weekends, keep it stripped!
