Yeah but on highly tuned cars (usually forced induction) a big slug of oil vapour going through the intake could be enough to cause det.
On a normal road going Clio doing it is pointless
Agree about the car feeling faster as a passenger.my 172 felt well rapid when I was taken for a test drive in it.....behind the wheel though it feels pedestrian!

I've accepted the fact that's it's winter and my cars going to get covered in shite and road salt etc but am not going to stress about it and start cleaning it in the dark & cold everyday when I get home from work.
Good cleaning of arches, underside etc every two weeks or so does the job
I agree with that as well but TBH I find being overly protective and worrying about cars stressful and I don't need that in life.
If you have the space i.e large garage, live in a nice area and have the time to look after your car that's good....I do feel for people who live in areas where...
