Agree with that I think the 172/182 is never truely going to be the boy racers chariot of choice due to the insurance I think the cheaper, less powerul ones are more preferable...stick some skirts on, a 'jap style' exhaust and some decals and off you go

That's exactly why I really like the 197...understated, quick and a lot classier than most other hatchbacks (Vauxhall Astra/Corsa VXR)

Well said TBH I'm not that good a driver and don't do trackdays so would probably never buy that cup version but choose something a bit more lardy/comfy.

My emissions light was on for well over a year and it passed two MOTs so wasn't the lambda sensor. Got the light cleared at Rentech and it's been off for a while now, car still runs great.

This is a Clio Forum so I'd say the 172 would pi** al over the ax, even if it had a skyline engine under the hood

Dimmas are nice (profesionally fitted)..I had a dimma 205 gti back in the day and it looked nice. Not very keen on that bodykit/styling on that Clio.....looks a bit half as*ed

Gutted for you Only metal at the end of the day and can be replaced

172 Clio is one of the best cars I've had...inconspicuous, cheap to run and insure and quick:D

I have a K-tec stealth with a sports cat and I can't fault the quality, fit and sound.

Don't think so The FF 172/182s will be like the valvers are now and the Trophy will be the equivalent of the Williams

197 always been cool...much more subtle than the V6, I'd know which I'd be spending my money on
