    rory182 - that aint to bad for a shaft actually. i know of many more cars where there more expensive just in the aftermarket - but that £100 is from Renault.

    I believe it's a shaft you'll need to buy and last time I looked Renault were doing them for £100 each on exchange basis.

    yep it will and it is located under the scuttle panel. near the drivers sdie wiper arm attachment.

    for the 172/182's just use the oem NGK plugs. best to be safe then sorry.

    C. I do it every day, you'll just get used to it! I end up having a creased shirt by the time i get to work by the harness but I don't mind!

    if it's only £350 to have the box reconditioned with new bearings i'd take that option. Make sure you fit a new clutch whilst your there too.

    Imo it would be worth the 2 hour trip to birchdown. Probably the closest specialist to you outside of Leeds.

    have you waited at all in between entering the correct code? it takes a couple of minutes to reset itself once the incorrect code has been inputted.

    maybe check for play in the engine mounts when it's idling? possibly engine mount not done up tight enough?

    i wouldn't if it was me doing it. for the price off the cam kit it's worth putting a new one whilst there, especially after spending lots of monies on cams anyways!

    that's what i've got on my 172. i've never had any problems on mine so you should be ok.
