    Is this a acoustic valve?

I've thought about changing that fabric s**t as well....problem is finding something suitable to replace it with which will connect up at either end and not disintegrate in 5 minutes.

    Is this a acoustic valve?

I know it's a big issue with turbocharged cars...I had to always be careful in my old Impreza away from the lights due to the IC heating up when stationary increasing the inlet/charge temps. I did think about wrapping the airbox and piping with insulation/heat reflective material to try and...

    Is this a acoustic valve?

Cheers for the reply Nick Aren't you always going to have a problem with intake temps with the valve in place, IK installed etc? as the filter/airbox is pretty close to the engine and it does warm up when stationary.

    Is this a acoustic valve?

That's what I though.....opening up at higher rpm. The loss in power/torque at 3000rpm doesn't sound too good.

    Is this a acoustic valve?

I always thought it opened above a certain rpm:S I'm sure there is enough air available for the engine in stock trim...all this ram air stuff with cold air feeds from the front just sounds a bit suspect to me.

    Mountain Bike Carrying

Yep....works all the time I use my 172 for going to MTB races and am a bit paranoid about the interior getting f**ked so always put the seats down (removing rear headrests helps) and cover the whole back area with a large blanket. An average size xC MTB fits easily with the wheels off and...
