Took a couple of roundabouts fairly briskly last night and heard a strange clicking or grating noise coming from (I think) the left rear wheel area. Only heard it twice under heavy load - doesn't do it when you turn right normally and haven't had chance to check again this morning because of the...
Never quite understood that sign - is that a full 180 spin then? :rasp:
Unlucky mate. It's really frustrating to have to drive so conservatively in a car like an E+RS Clio at this time but as this shows, it's well worth it in the long run......
Yep, that's spot on. It's also started showing the 'electrical fault' yellow warning light occasionally - the 'heart trace' one. Is this a further sign of a dying battery?
This has happened twice now. First time I thought I must have done it accidently. Yesterday I definitely didn't because I was trying to monitor the fuel consumption.
Drove to Liverpool. When I restarted the car, it did a funny cluck/non-start, but then started normally at the second attempt...
Jeez, so it is. Just been down to the shop and the street and pavements are white!! Side roads are treacherous at any speed when frozen (so I went in the missus' Verso and left the RS on the drive...)
I've just been there, top stuff. Though to be fair, whatever you save on the price, you'll pay in petrol from Withernsea. PM Rob's172 for a nearer alternative, he's from Hull.
Well, only in as much as you always get fleeced at main stealers. It's a good couple of hours job, so at their labour rates and £40 for the belt kit, that's about right.
Whereabouts are you? Far better to find a local Renault specialist with half the labour rate, probably more experienced...
Having said that, you always get some OCD nutters in any walk of car life. Think of the 'Rich's of the Austin Allegro world, polishing their square steering wheels. Now they really are a spark short of a four-stroke....
I guess the argument is whether your chosen RenaultSport is 'special' enough to warrant special treatment, in a way that is more easily understood for more exotic, expensive or impractical cars.
The fact that RS models are neither of these things (with the exception of the Vee) means that they...
Just put BP Ultimate in mine for the first time today so will see how it goes, but recognise that it might take a couple of tanks to notice the difference.
Cost me about 111p a litre too! :S
My Clio is my daily runaround! :rasp: It's modern, fast, quiet, safe, has ABS and is reliable (:S ) - everything my Alfa isn't. ;)
Since my wife got a family car as her work's lease car, I've swapped a £7.5k Vauxhall Zafira for my Alfa, a car I've always wanted, and the Clio 172 as...
:star: And to save it from the elements & salt no doubt.
It's a tough one between keeping it nice and protected and actually getting out and using the thing. No point spending hard earned wedge on a garage decoration :S
My Alfa gets stored to save it dissolving in the salt
In the summer, I may contemplate putting the Clio in the garage and driving the Alfa more though
:clown:
