I agree with you on the performance....the STI is a fantastic car power & handling wise and for the money you can't go wrong. Where it does 'fail' in my eyes is the looks.....the subaru is no looker when you compare it to a V6.

I brought my 172 for it's power & handling....I wouldn't have brought it if it had a 1.2 under the bonnet.

Shame it had to go for such a low price

I took my Renault cat off my 172 (2002) and it looked in reasonable condition. Repaced it with a Janspeed sports cat which is much better:)

Have at agree and it's the same with a lot of Japanese cars (as you will know from Subaru ownership). I still like the look of the CTR but can't comment on the performance/handling as I've never driven one.

Sounds cheap to me:) don't know what the deal is with that elf oil (wether it's a proper synthetic or not)....I'm going for the Silkolene pro S in my 172, expensive but I know it's the real deal.

lol I think Honda have done a good job with the CTR interior but I reckon your spot on with that comment. I've been in quite a few 20/30k Japanese performance cars and the materials/design is rubbish compared to German Marques.
