    Whats the point of this question? Have you got the choice to make? If you have, then drive both and make your own mind up, lots of people on here have already made the choice and it always comes down to personal choice.....its not a case of whats better, its whats better for you.

    If its a European import (i.e. not from Cypress) then youll get 3 years although some things are only covered for the first and second year, just like uk dealer warranty

    Ive been really tempted to get a 182 but Renault being as they are in a year or so theyll be another one out and Ill want that too!! Perfect marketing on their behalf! And I only want it coz its the latest and badest, if they were still selling the 172, I wouldnt even be thinking of changing...

    0800 072 33 72 You do get 3 years, it doesnt matter if it comes from the Renault factory in France or if it comes from the Renault factory in France. All UK dealers import Renaults! (from the Renault factory in France) If they still insist that its out of warranty, then take your money...

    Ring and register it with Renault UK and they will ask for a copy of some docs and send you a letter and a hand book confirming your warranty. All the way from France ‘eh? If you believed UK dealers, they just pop out of the sky above the UK!! ”Imports? No never…all UK car’s mate…bla, bla...

    There were loads of teething problems with the 172, Im sure when you get them sorted the 182s will be fine Im glad that I stuck with mine, but having said that you have a right to expect a new car to be spot on afterall how long have Renault been making cars?

    172 72k service - £900!

    Ive just booked mine in for the 24k and they quoted £159, I only intend on using Renault until the warranty is up so by the time 72k comes along it wont have seen the inside of a Renault garage for quite a while!! The garage that fitted my Magnex are Renault specialists so I’ll be going there.

    When you do 4000 revs the mid section of the exhaust vibrates making an irritating buzz....its the bafflers that have come loose, very very common in 172s. If your car is less than a year old then warranty will cover it, if not its cheaper to get a performance zorst as the problem tends to...

    its in the price list as an option for £300, Ive got a standard system out of my 172 (single cd + multi changer + speakers) that Ive been thinking of selling if I had a decent offer, otherwise Ill just keep it to put back in if I sell the car.

    Go to a dealer then leave it till the end of the month go back and haggle...I test drove one and since then he has called me 3 times offering more discounts and free metalic paint...

    If you can, put it next to a 182 without the cup suspension, the dealer near me had on of each in; the cup suspension is visually lower
