lol....good marketing Fred I have to admit I am pretty surprised at how loud the Stealth is.....if that's one of the quieter exhausts out there I dread to think how loud some of the others are.

Have to disagree Janspeed are a reputable company who make good exhausts....I thought the quality of their sports cat was pretty good. I suppose it depends what your comparing their stuff to Fred

Don't do it I had one of these and it didn't look good....pipe bore just too big for the car and weighed a ton. Sounded nice but I just couldn't live with the looks

I have a 4yr old Clio and have noticed minor corrosion on bolts etc...not much to worry about though so long as the sills and arches are okay. Cabin movement/rattles are pretty common in the 172

Knocking does sound like engine mount. I'd try doing a search on here....you'll proabably find lots of mount related threads.

As fmp says...put the car on a diet. Loosing weight from the car is effectively gaining free bhp as you'll raise the bhp per ton.

Stealth is boomy at a certain RPM mate....I've got one on my car and the girlfriend gets pretty pissed off with it:D

Renault will charge you over £300 for a standard exhaust and by all accounts they are bollox. Like people say....just go for an aftermarket system

Agree That's the way the car market works..people see a newer reg plate and a few extra numbers and are willing to pay more. I bet there are plenty of 172s in much better condition than some newer 182s

IIRC the passenger seat height is fixed...the drivers one is adjustable. Drivers seat still doesn't go low enough for my liking

This s**t sounds bad....hope you have some luck getting them to fork out 100% of the costs. Thank f**k I don't have a warranty...like yourself, I'd be livid if this happened as it's why you buy the car brand new....seems like the warranty doesn't cover much fully.

Splitter looks good. Fitted my K-tec one a few weeks ago and decided to remove the bumper too.....took a while but end result is great:D

That looks odd but nice at the same time with all that carbon. Not sure where it drraws air from though as the grille where it's positioned blocked by radiator....there is an air duct/channel but that's to the right of that filter.

Same at the engine end but different cat sections. I believe it will require dropping the subframe to fit as well

K-tec Stealth is pretty loud on throttle but fine for cruising on the M-way:D

I'd agree with that..anything over 16 and your in serious chav territory....probably detrimental effects on handling also due to the extra weight.
