Sounds like the problem I had with my stealth.
I filed out the slots on the OE bracket so you could slide it further away from the backbox hangar.
Worked a treat...no knocks anymore.
Boring old 172.....ah yes, that's the way I like it!
Think aftermarket spoilers etc on any car are s**t and a waste of money but that's just my preference....each to their own.
I though aux belt was 5 years like the cambelt or 36k....whichever is sooner so it should be done if your car is at 36k.
Also worth considering is coolant/brake fluid change which is due every 4 years
Indeed....subtle is the way to go and if you are going to cosmetically modify a car, just make sure it's done properly and with quality parts.
I'm going to change a few bits and pieces on my car but stuff you can't see anyway like ecu and brake hoses etc.
Standard or as near to std is the best.....just my opinion.
Agree with you about this f**king chav thing..it's everywhere on every single forum, even bike ones etc....it's got to be the worst phrase ever.
I've got a car the same age Sneeks with well below average mileage.
I would suggest getting it done next year along with the aux belt as that'll be your five years up.
