Macpherson strut is the type of suspension configuration.....very, very popular and used on most cars these days.
Does sound a little odd for the top mounts to go so soon but my old 19 16 valver had problems in this area too....could just be a common Renault glitch.
At last...I am not the only one who thinks the ST looks naff
It's Fords lame attempt to get in on the performance car market....it's nothing special, just a half decent engine garnished with tacky interior & exterior detailling....the Escort Cosworth of ten years ago was better.
Point taken
I've never driven one and never will..and, like I said, it could be double the speed of my 172 and I still couldn't care...I've had a silly quick car so I've ticked that box so to speak.
I can see what your saying about the Clio though...there are some badly modified ones out...
I've just seen the review in evo magazine and it does look more refined even if it isn't that balls out...got some great additions though like those Brembos.
I still prefer the current shape clio though but may change my mind when I see one of these new models in the Renault showroom.
MAF sensor is a mass airflow sensor....I didn't think 172/182 used these as I always thought they used a map sensor (manifold absolute pressure) to do fuelling.
Could be wrong though!
MAF sensors are usually located in the intake tract and I can't see one on my 172...just the throttle...
That is a good price
I'm probably going to give Rentech a go in October for my cars 4yr service...1hr 30mins drive from Bath but I think it may be worth it.
