I've put a K-tec Stealth and Janspeed sports cat on my car and am quite impressed with performance and sound Lots to choose from though and I'm sure you'll get lots of different reccomendations.

I'm afraid that's the drawback of V6s I'm an ex Impreza owner so am really loving the cheap running costs and insurance of the 172....it's a lot of car and fun for the money! How much would you get for the Vee now?

Agree with the above If you're not going for big power or remapping the ecu then probably better off just replacing the filter element

2-3k is a hell of a lot of money for a 172/182 Not sure what the 1.6s handle like but a nice looking car and will be good for racking up some NCD in until you can get the insurance on the 172 down to a reasonable figure. I think some people on here have converted their 1.6s to look like...

Welcome to the forum Cambelt needs to be changed at 72000 miles of every five years....whichever comes first. Good cars 172s.....sure you'll have plenty of fun in it:D

IMO the new car doesn't look half as good as the outgoing model.....matter of preference though and I suppose I did only see a base model of the new Clio, sport may look the tits

I got 35.3 on the mororway which isn't far off the official figures for mpg so I'm happy with that. Rarely goes below 28-29mpg with town driving

Bet that pipe is expensive I'd just make one myself using Samco hosing or move the battery and box off the filter there.

I think it has something to do with the inlet/hose lengths at different engine speeds Remember to plug the hose up to this valve neat the throttle body.

How did you get 41mpg out of your 172.....has it got quite a few miles on?

I drove down to exeter and back over the weekend (200 miles) in my 172 and managed to get 35.3mpg.....not sure if this is okay or not (I have Green panel and sports cat fitted).

I use 97 in my 172....used it in my previous car and it never detted so it's good to go in the Renault.
