Agree....my car is silent compared to some of my friends cars. Think the 'worst' for noise is a fully decatted Subaru running a Blitz exhaust....just deafening

Never heard of it but like the look of that nimbus stuff

Maxogens and Vipers look good but for the money the performance gain is so marginal it seems like too much to spend to me. I'm still with the panel in the OE airbox and spending money on other areas which will be more beneficial.

I came from a faster car then my 172 but have no problem with it's performance...it's involving to drive, brakes well and does all this for a reasonable price:D

I got my sports cat (Janspeed) from DT.....same as the one they are selling on K-tec but came in cheaper. No problem with their stealth exhaust though:D

3 is definately only for heavily tuned cars....big bore isn't necessarily the best route for mildly modified cars....may find back flow going on

I wouldn't run a K&N.....had one on my 19 16v and it really blunted the performance of the car especially in the summer. I would probably go for the OE airbox with some modification....nice and cheap too:D

Really like evo magazine and this is even more of a good reason to buy it! They do like the Renaultsport Clio a lot...and the trophy they really rate:D

Good advice...nothing worse than feeling the thread stripping as you tighten the bolt up.

Be interesting to see the results. With proper mapping by an expert I bet the IK may show a few more bhp/lb/ft than the airbox.

Janspeed stuff is still good though:D

IIRC Just a decent socket set with spark plug sockets which have the rubber insert to grip the plug.

Interesting thread One word sums the IK to me.....expensive.

Common problem on valvers...I had the same thing happen on my 19 16v. Quite an easy job to do

Mine does it slightly but I am going to ignore until it really get on my nerves.

Are you talking about an open K&N cone? I had one of these on my old Renault 19 16v and it was awful....I did try and find my old airbox but being stupid I'd thrown it away!

I did look at a Mk3 Clio in the Renault showroom and wasn't overly keen on it....could have been because it was in red though or because I was more interested in the Renaultsport Megane outside:D Hope it goes well....certainly looks good in black:D

I do agree I am interested in improving the car mechanically with mods that are subtle...in other words a decent exhaust, panel, brakes/pads...stuff that is going to improve the drive of the car but not turn it into a s**tbox

Got my Green panel from Demon Tweeks but think they do ITG as well. Also believe there is a discount with them if you are a paid up member:D
