Its a mk1 clio, with a de-cat, can tell its amk1 from the wheel cage. It is a valver, has rear discs, but isnt a williams as the flanges on the de-cat are at 90 degrees, unless its a williams with a vlaver manifold

Could well be brake fade, did the pedal feel spongy, or did it just not stop, if the pedal felt spongly the fluid coud be boiling, and/or the rubber lines expanding. Sounds to me like just brake fade, std pads, they just got too hot and didnt perform

Either change the pads or could be due to hoew you ahve beaded them in, my rears squeeked, on std pads, 60 mns on track cured that :D

Thats why suspension set up and brakes are ALOT more imprortant then raw power under hte bonnet, stupid spending £50 on lowering springs, and then pissing hundreds away under the bonnet
